Ceramir® Restore Bioceramic Restorative is 100% resin free, self-curing restorative amterial that combines a conventional glass ionomer with Ceramir technology, to form a tissue-friendly bioactive material.
Use it for the same indications a glass ionomer restoratives but with the added benefit of lower acid solubility, better chemical integration with teeth, and beneficial remineralization properties. It's well suited for use in pediatric and geriatric patients.
Benefits:
- Better chemical seal - creates a permanent seal with the tooth surface because the bioceramic material grows its crystals directly from the tooth structure
- Better durability - can protect itself against acid attack by releasing hydroxyl ions, which increase the pH and neutralizes the acid to create an acid resistant surface
- Strengthens surrounding dentin and enamel - Continuous calcium and fluoride release helps strengthen and rebuild dentin after caries
- Low post-op sensitivity - alkaline pH during curing
When to use Ceramir Restore:
- Non-load bearing Class I and II restorations
- Deciduous teeth restorations
- Geriatric restorations
- Intermediate restorative and base material for Class I and II cavities using the sandwich technique
- Cervical (class V) restorations
- Core build ups
- Temporary fillings
- Dentin replacement
