Perfecta whitening gels have a thick, glycol base to stay in the tray. The carbamide peroxide formula has been tested and proven reliable for decades, with no chemical additives necessary. The differing carbamide peroxide concentrations allow the patient to choose the intensity of their whitening. The whitening gel comes in 2 oz/59 cc squeeze tubes.
Perfecta 11% is ideal for mild to moderate stains, used mostly for young patients, patients with yellow extrinsic stains, or patients with a history of thermal sensitivity. It is also used as the starter gel in the Perfecta Trio system. Perfecta 16% works with severe stains, heavy tobacco, and tetracycline stains. Patients with no history of thermal sensitivity can use this concentration for maximum whitening. Perfecta 21% is used for the toughest tetracycline stains and fluorosis. One should dispense only to compliant patients with no history of thermal sensitivity, and frequently monitor treatment progress.
