Ortho Lip Protector is a flexible clear lip bumper shield that covers the front of the brackets from one end of the mouth to the other, protecting lips and gums. It provides temporary relief of direct pressure to the lips caused by orthodontic appliances. It can be easily placed and removed by the patient. The outside of the device is smooth, and the inside contains soft flexible double hooks that snap over the arch wire. If the hooks don't align perfectly with the spaces between brackets, they can be cut off with scissors to create a custom fit.

The lip protector is a great choice for musicians, people who play sports where a mouth guard is not necessary or those new to wearing braces. The lip protectors work best on smaller brackets and arch wires that are relatively straight. They may pop off if brackets are very crooked across the teeth.

Each set of lip protectors comes packaged in a convenient plastic storage box and contains two shield strips—one strip for the top teeth and one for the bottom teeth. Instructions are included.
